Shyieda Chocolate Cake

Chocolate Paste
70gm sugar
80gm cocoa powder
1 tsp instant coffee
1 cup hot water

30gm dark chocolate - melted

1/2 cup buttermilk (1/2 cup fresh milk + 1/2 tbsp vinegar)

250gm cake flour
2 tsp baking powder
1 1/2 tsp baking soda

250gm butter
300gm castor sugar
6 large eggs
1 tsp vanilla essence

Heat oven at 150C.

Melt chocolate on double boiler and leave to cool.

Mix hot water, sugar, instant coffee and cocoa powder, stir and put aside to cool.

In a mixing bowl, beat butter and sugar till fluffy then add eggs one at a time then add vanilla essence and beat till it light and creamy.

Mix chocolate paste and buttermilk together.

Then using a spatula, add gradually dry ingredients and chocolate paste, stir then add in melted dark chocolate.

Pour in a lined pan and bake for 45 - 50 minutes (depending on your oven) till its baked.
