Racquet cake and Art cake for twin

Mrs Selva (Saro), a mother to twin, Amita and Ainesh requested two cakes with the twin interest as decoration, Amita likes to draw, meanwhile, Ainesh has shown an interest in tennis.

Makes me looking up the ceiling for awhile, nothing there, just a white and blank ceiling, not even a lizard stick on it .... hehehe ... cant get any ideas ... too many things to do and short of time ... then i decided to curl the net to look for any pictures that might give me some ideas and at last but not least, found some ideas for Amita.

For Ainesh, i saw this picture that is just right, gives me inspiration. I cant remember the link, but i can exactly remember the deco. Credit to you mate ...

Ini bukan Steam Buttercream

Nak cerita pasal steam buttercream pulak. Sebelum aku attend kelas Chef Ina few weeks ago, aku pernah experimen buat buttercream ni based from reading di bakingproject.com seingat aku tahun lepas.

Recipe Butter Cake

Butter Cake

In this n3, i would like to share my doing of butter cake. I like this method of doing it bcoz its fast and easy. This is also the recipe i have used for cupcakes. Its suggested that you use a pure butter to get better taste of nice and pure butter cake.

The recipe is just like any others butter cake, just the method cud be different. Here goes :-

In a bowl, put in together;

250gm butter
220gm caster sugar
230gm self raising flour
3/4 tsp baking powder
5 egg yolks

Beat for 5 minutes at medium speed, slowly pour in 1/2 cup fresh milk; beat for 5 minutes then change to high speed for 2 minutes, then leave aside;

In other bowl, beat 5 egg whites till fluffy;

Add all together, use spatula to combine it well;

Ready to bake in a 8" pan at 150C for 25 - 30 minutes.
